Iranian Blogger Arrested for Tweet
On Tuesday, regime forces arrested Hossein Shanbehzadeh, an Iranian blogger and writer, for his response to one of Khamenei’s tweets.
Hossein’s tweet simply contained a dot, and the tweet garnered more likes than Khamenei’s original tweet.
In 2019, Hossein was jailed on charges of “insulting the sanctities and the leader of the Islamic Republic,” making it clear that in the Islamic Republic, even posting a single punctuation mark and it receiving more likes than the Supreme Leader’s tweet, is insulting to the nation and is grounds for arrest.
