Islamic Republic Sends Missiles to Russia
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that the Islamic Republic has sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia to use in their war against Ukraine. Since then, the United States, France, Germany, and the UK have sanctioned Iran Air.
The U.S. Treasury said in a statement: “Iran Air has a history of transporting goods on behalf of Iran’s IRGC and Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics. Iran has also provided freight shipping services to Russia, including shipments of electronics and aircraft parts.”
IR Judiciary Takes Legal Action Against Actress
The Islamic Republic’s judiciary announced that it has taken legal action against actress Sahar Dowlatshahi for “performing acts that are against Islamic rules”, in a TV show released by FilmNet, a network in Iran. The judiciary is also taking action against FilmNet and the producer of the show.
The act in question was a scene of Sahar dancing. Women in the Islamic Republic are forbidden from dancing in public.
The regime has targeted Sahar in the past, including confiscating her passport in 2022 over her support for protests.
Activist Dies From Gunshot Wounds
Sara Deldar, an activist involved in protests in 2022, has died of infected wounds after being shot by regime forces.
Sara was sentenced to over a year in prison after her involvement in protests, but was released on parole after six months.
During her time in prison, she was subjected to torture and poor conditions, and her wounds became severely infected.
