EU Sanctions Iran Air
This week, the Council of the European Union announced new sanctions on seven individuals and seven entities in response to the regime’s transfer of missiles and drones to Russia to use in their war against Ukraine.
The entities and individuals sanctioned will be subject to an asset freeze and travel ban to the European Union, per the Council. Of the seven entities sanctioned, Mahan Air and Iran Air were included.
Regime Neglects Iranians to Fund Terror
Videos from inside Iran continue to show the regime’s neglect of the Iranian people and of the country, while they keep their focus on their war in the Middle East.
Citizens have continuously reported power outages, workers have been on strike for months, videos show gas leaks, damage to Iran’s environment, buildings collapsing, and fires at refineries that are taking lives.
Meanwhile, this week, a customer of Sepah Bank reported that in May, she applied for a loan that was approved, which has still not been granted. When asked why, the manager of the branch admitted that the budget had been spent on Hezbollah.
Nasrin Shakarami Arrested
This week, Aida Shakarami, sister of murdered protester Nika Shakarami, posted that their mother Nasrin had been arrested.
In her post, she wrote: “My mother was arrested this afternoon in Khorramabad, and I have no news since.” Her family still has not been given any information regarding her arrest, however Nasrin’s last post on Instagram before her arrest read: “Yes, war is very frightening, but living under the shadow of the mullahs is even more terrifying.” Her Instagram account was deactivated following her arrest.
