Islamic Republic Executes Jamshid Sharmahd

  • On Monday, it was announced that the Islamic Republic had killed German-American Jamshid Sharmahd, after four years of torture and imprisonment.

  • In 2020, Jamshid was kidnapped from Dubai while on a business trip, and was taken back to Iran against his will. There, he was charged with “spreading corruption on Earth,” a sham charge that carries the death penalty.

  • Over the last four years, Jamshid’s family has fought tirelessly to bring him home. We will continue to stand with the Sharmahd family in their pursuit of justice.

Iranians Struggle with Wages

  • Iranians are struggling with high inflation, and crippling wages. The average income for Iranians last year was around 4,500 dollars.

    • The average monthly wage in 2024 was recently set at between 180 and 230 dollars.

Iranians Pay Double for iPhones

  • This week, the Islamic Republic lifted their ban on iPhone imports into the country. However, a 96% tariff was placed on imports, meaning Iranians will have to pay double the price for an iPhone, with half going to the regime.
