NUFDI Statement on Reinstated Travel Ban on Iranians
(Persian-language statement below) | Washington D.C.— The Iranian passport was once proudly welcomed in the United States and visa-free in nations around the world. Khomeini, Khamenei, and their collaborators in the Islamic Republic and its web of supporters and sympathizers across the world stole that from the people of Iran. While regime officials live in luxury off the stolen wealth of the Iranian nation in London, Toronto, Paris, and Los Angeles, freedom-seeking Iranians face limitations on basic travel. As Iranian-Americans, American national security is of foremost importance. In light of recent violent terrorist attacks, including on U.S. soil and the Islamic Republic’s decades-old policy of exporting its revolution of terror, NUFDI supports stringent vetting processes for visas. We call for the investigation into and prosecution of agents and beneficiaries of the Islamic Republic living in the United States and acting as a fifth column of the regime with impunity. As such, and in response to the reinstatement of the travel ban including Iran, NUFDI urges that:
All officials of the Islamic Republic be banned from entering the United States. These individuals, who systematically violate human rights and sponsor terrorism, must be denied the privilege to be in the United States.
All visas, green cards, and citizenship of regime officials’ children, and other relatives who benefit unjustly from freedoms denied to ordinary Iranians, be revoked.
All individuals acting as propaganda agents for the Islamic Republic within U.S. borders be identified, exposed, and expelled.
The administration is right to single out the Islamic Republic as the foremost state sponsor of terror. We call on the administration to ban those terrorists in the Islamic Republic and their affiliates and propagandists instead of a blanket ban against Iranians who have no ties to the regime, many of whom have risked life, limb, and liberty to fight against the theocratic dictatorship. We call on the administration to distinguish between the Iranian people and the regime occupying Iran, as has been a stated policy of President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio.

بیانیه نوفدی در خصوص بازگشت فرمان اجرایی منع سفر زمانی نچندان دور، دارنداگان گذرنامهٔ ایرانی با احترام در ایالات متحده مورد استقبال قرار میگرفتند و ایرانیان بدون نیاز به ویزا به بسیاری از کشورهای جهان سفر میکردند. مسببین وضع موجود از خمینی تا خامنهای و شبکهٔ حامیان و همدلانشان در سراسر جهان، این اعتبار و آزادی را از مردم ایران دزدیدند.
در حالی که مقامات رژیم با استفاده از ثروت به غارترفته از ملت ایران برای خود زندگیهای مجللی در لندن، تورنتو، پاریس و لسآنجلس ساخته اند، ایرانیان آزادیخواه حتی برای سفرهای اولیه و اساسی خود با محدودیت مواجهاند.
بهعنوان شهروندان ایرانی-آمریکایی، امنیت ملی ایالات متحده برای ما بسیار مهم است. با توجه به حملات تروریستی اخیر در خاک آمریکا و با در نظر گرفتن سیاستهای جمهوری اسلامی برای صدور انقلاب تروریستی خود، نوفدی از فرآیندهای سختگیرانهٔ بررسی ویزا حمایت میکند.
ما خواهان تحقیق و پیگرد قانونی عوامل و ذینفعان جمهوری اسلامی در ایالات متحده هستیم. افرادی که بدون هیچ مانعی بهعنوان ستون پنجم رژیم در آمریکا زندگی و فعالیت میکنند.
به همین دلیل، در پاسخ به بازگشت فرمان اجرایی ممنوعیت سفر برای چند کشور از جمله ایران، نوفدی خواستار آن است که:
تمام مقامات جمهوری اسلامی باید از ورود به ایالات متحده منع شوند. این افراد که بهصورت سیستماتیک ناقض حقوق بشر و حامی تروریسم هستند، نباید اجازهٔ حضور در خاک ایالات متحده را داشته باشند.
ویزا، اجازهی اقامت و سایر امتیازات مهاجرتی فرزندان و بستگان مقامات رژیم که بهطور ناعادلانه از آزادیهای سلب شدهی ایرانیان بهرهمنداند باید لغو شوند.
باید تمامی افرادی که بهعنوان عوامل تبلیغاتی جمهوری اسلامی در خاک ایالات متحده فعالیت میکنند، شناسایی، افشا و اخراج شوند.
دولت آمریکا حق دارد جمهوری اسلامی را بهعنوان بزرگترین دولت حامی تروریسم مورد هدف قرار دهد. خواسته ما از دولت این است که تروریستهای جمهوری اسلامی، وابستگان و عوامل تبلیغاتی آن را ممنوعالورود کند، نه اینکه یکباره ایرانیانی را هدف بگیرد که هیچ ارتباطی با رژیم ندارند. چراکه بسیاری از آنان جان، سلامت و آزادی خود را برای مبارزه با این دیکتاتوری دینی به خطر انداختهاند.
ما از دولت میخواهیم بین مردم ایران و رژیمی که ایران را اشغال کرده تفاوت قائل شود، همانگونه که بارها رئیس جمهور ترامپ و وزیر امور خارجه روبیو در سیاستهای اعلامی دولت بر این موضوع تاکید داشتهاند.
