Mohammad R. Jahan-Parvar, Ph.D.

Mohammad R. Jahan-Parvar is a Washington, D.C.-based economist with extensive academic and government experience. He received his BA in economics from Beheshti (National) University (Tehran, Iran), MS in economics from Illinois State University, MS in statistics and PhD in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed finance and economics journals, including articles in the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Financial Econometrics, Management Science, International Journal of Central Banking, and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, among many others. He is an established expert in asset pricing, global financial markets, and open-economy macro-finance. He has extensive teaching experience at doctoral, MBA, and undergraduate levels in institutions such as Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, East Carolina University, and the Johns Hopkins University. He has held visiting research positions at Carey Business School (the Johns Hopkins University) and Fuqua School of Business (Duke University).
