Washington, DC– The National Union for Democracy in Iran condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the racist and anti-Semitic attacks perpetrated against members of the Iranian-American Jewish community on May 18, 2021. The Islamic Republic’s violence against the Jewish people and other religious minorities cause many to flee their homeland and seek safety in the United States. To see their safety questioned in their new home is unacceptable and un-American.

On behalf of those Iranian-Americans who, regardless of political or religious affiliation, condemn these abhorrent attacks, we call on others in our community to stand in solidarity with the Iranian-American Jewish community.

Silence is not acceptable.
