Saeed Ghaseminejad, Ph.D.

Dr. Saeed Ghasseminejad is a senior advisor at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) and its Center on Economics and Financial Power.

Born and raised in Iran, he co-founded the Liberal Students and Graduates Organization at the University of Tehran. His student activism led to his arrest by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He was later sentenced to prison by the Islamic Revolutionary Court. Saeed got degrees in engineering and finance in Iran and France and obtained his Ph.D. in finance from the City University of New York.
