The people of Iran need your support.

Call or write your representative.
As the people of Iran take to the streets in protests across the country to protest the Islamic Republic’s murder of 22 year old Mahsa Amini and call for an end to the Islamist dictatorship, the regime is shutting down the Internet and limiting access to WhatsApp and Instagram.
Call your member of Congress and ask them to speak out in support of the Iranian people’s pro-democracy movement.
Below is a sample phone call script and email template you can use.

Establish why your issue is necessary and the perspective you offer as an Iranian-American.
“As an Iranian-American I know, first-hand, the threats the Islamic Republic in Iran poses to the United States, the people of Iran, and the world. Right now Iranians are on the streets in cities around the country protesting the regime’s murder of Mahsa Amini, a 22 year old girl because of her headscarf. The protesters are calling for an end to the Islamic dictatorship and are calling for freedom.”

To the honorable [Senator/Congresswoman/Congressman]
I am reaching out to you to express my concern as your constituent for the unfolding human rights violations in Iran committed by the Islamic Regime.
Whether the two LGBTQI activists just recently sentenced to death row, or the murder of Mahsa Amini just a few days ago at the hands of the “Morality Police” for partially showing her hair, or the recent indiscriminate shooting by terrorist IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Gaurd Corps) at peaceful protestors that have resulted in at least fifty deaths including many in their twenties, it is only human to support the cause of the Iranian people. As you may know, today, Iranians’ connectivity to the World Wide Web has been heavily censored by the regime and what little information that flowed through the past week, is now also curtailed.
Additionally, supporting the Iranian people’s cause for freedom is closely aligned with the values of your party and the United States of America. We have witnessed you and your fellow elected officials take a stand to support freedom of speech and freedom of expression many times over throughout the past year. It will behoove you to turn a blind eye to the unfolding atrocities in Iran today.
I ask that as our representative you act and speak to your colleagues to maintain consistency of principle in this country.
Whether it’s by
- Simply expressing your support to public media for coverage
- Blocking freedom to travel by Islamic Republic regime officials
- Blocking access to funds for official arms of the murderous regime in Tehran
- Assistance in connecting the Iranian people’s access to the World Wide Web
As a constituent, I ask for your support.
The American population of Iranian descent in your constituency contributes positively to American society in every economic sector. We hope you honor my trust in you as a voter through these supporting actions.
Thank you for your time and attention,

I am reaching out to you to express my concern as your constituent for the unfolding human rights violations and massacre of protestors in Iran committed by the Islamic Regime.
The murder of Mahsa Amini just a few days ago at the hands of the “Morality Police” for partially showing her hair marked the final straw in the camel’s back, so to speak, for Iranians living under oppression since 1979. Protests broke out through the country that have sustained for a week and are continuing to grow. In response, Regime forces including the terrorist IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Gaurd Corps) opened fire at peaceful protestors that have resulted in at least fifty deaths including many in their twenties. it is only human to support the cause of the Iranian people.
